ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Elke is a Geographic Information Specialist and open innovation enthusiast that is passionate about building creative technological solutions for the betterment of the environment.
She has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Texas A&M University and a Master’s Degree in Geographical Information Management Applications (GIMA), which is a joint collaboration between the universities of Delft, Utrecht, Twente, and Wageningen (WUR) in The Netherlands. Her master’s thesis topic investigated Linked Spatial Data as a Collaboration enabler across the Circular Economy.
Elke works contributing to companies such as Space4Good, FarmHackNL, and the Mothership Missions by performing geo-spatial analyses and organizing tech communities to develop solutions using AI and satellite technologies in support of agriculture and vulnerable landscapes.
