Destiny TchéhoualieProfessor / Co-chair
Destiny Tchéhouali is a professor of international communication at the University of Quebec in Montreal (UQAM) and co-holder of the Unesco Chair in Communication and Technologies for Development. His research focuses on the governance/regulation of the Internet, AI and algorithms; the social acceptability and application of emerging technological innovations in different development domains (particularly in the cultural and creative industries). His current work examines the impact of digital platforms and recommendation systems on discoverability and online consumption of a variety of content. Destiny is also President of the Scientific Council of the Agence francophone pour l’intelligence artificielle (AFRIA) and President of the Board of Directors of the Internet Society’s Quebec Chapter (ISOC Quebec).

Raoul RugambaFounder
Raoul Rugamba is an entrepreneur, based in Kigali, Rwanda.
His businesses are focusing in the technology applied to education and in the cultural and creative industries. He started his business journey in 2008, and in 2015, he founded his own company, a creative and communication agency, the Hobe Agency. In 2018 he founded a panafrican initiative named Africa in Colors, a global network of creatives from 37 countries across Africa and beyond.
