We will also address, in the form of a dialogue and exchange of views, the integration of AI into the teaching of digital creative professions, discussing innovative approaches and best practices for training the next generation of creatives to take advantage of these new technologies.

    Martine helps develop cutting-edge AI-based technologies that can be used in a variety of visual effects disciplines. These disciplines range from the creation of realistic character animations to the generation of complex visual landscapes.

    Robin Tremblay
    Professor, NAD-UQAC School

    Since 1992, Professor Tremblay has been training 3D artists in Quebec. He contributes to the development of the NAD-UQAC School, helping it to become recognized from its inception, with just 8 students, to its move to Montreal’s Îlot Balmoral, with 300 students now attending annually.

    Stimulated by visual animation and special effects, the foundations of his story are made up of his unquenchable thirst to learn and share his knowledge. A popular teacher and inspiration to aspiring artists, he is one of the driving forces behind Quebec’s digital industry. Robin has been involved in the creation of visual effects for over forty acclaimed films, and over a hundred commercials. In addition, some fifty student projects for which he acted as director have been nominated for prestigious awards.

    Today, Robin tackles innovative teaching, integrating the use of artificial intelligence in the creation of 2D and 3D images into his training courses. He has helped train more than 1,500 people who have become professionals in the visual effects industry.

    Finally, since September 2023, Robin has been a recipient of the Cercle d’excellence |’Université du Québec (uquebec.ca) in recognition of his contribution to the growth of the 3D animation and visual effects industry in Quebec.
